If you are going to a potluck, hosting a party, or having guests over, this is such a fun easy and EXTREMELY tasty dish to bring OR even make on site. YUM! It’s perfect!
So…firstly…DON’T GO MAKING YOUR OWN DOUGH. This is meant to be fun and easy, not “real” work.
INSTEAD…go to your local pizzeria and ask if you can buy some. I prefer whole wheat dough, especially when fashioning your own gourmet pizza.
Then gather your company around the kitchen for some chatting, wine—or in my case, champagne—and cooking!
Do it my way…OR…explore your own version! Just remember, it’s always best when you keep it simple.
If you are doing it my way…here’s YOUR SHOPPING LIST:
- Pizza dough (from a pizzeria)
- Tomato sauce
- Fresh Basil
- Garlic (one large clove)
- Fresh Baby Arugula
- Pecorino Romano Cheese (small wedge)
- Shredded Mozzarella
- White Truffle Oil (Look in a gourmet grocery store for this, perhaps my post Agata & Valentina can help)
