NOTHING. Plan to do absolutely nothing on the day of your wedding.
It is so easy to plan to do a “small task”…like to tie a ribbon on your flowers. “You’ll have plenty of time”. TRUST ME, you don’t want to plan to do anything…there is no such thing as “plenty of time” on your wedding day. The smallest of plans can cause stress on an already overly exciting day.
On that note, DON’T plan work for your bridal party either. Let them focus their attention on filling your glass of champagne while you are getting your hair and makeup done. The less stressed they are the more FUN you will have on your big day. The last thing you need is for them to be preoccupied with remedial tasks, that could have been taken care of in advance, when you want their help and attention. PLUS, you know that you will be micromanaging the entire time…thus, adding work for you AND stress.
This is best case scenario. Consider if something actually does go wrong and you need the people you are with to help you. Without anything serious pending, they can run and help you. Now…if there are ribbons to be wrapped around flowers AND a problem, that not only causes stress, but it may also cause you not to get the look that you want for your flowers. In this particular situation, that is what a florist is for. Pay the extra few dollars to give yourself peace of mind on one of the most special days of your life.
After all, the day is supposed to be special…not work. CHEERS to you!
